Design and make 2008

 

As the name hints, this is a peice for audio. An Ipod or Iphone

docks under the hatch and the built-in 100 Watt amplifier boosts

out music through two 4V active elements. The dock also charges

the Ipod. The construction is made so that all technical parts can

be upgraded in order to keep up with the users needs. A marquetry

in black laminate and linoleum covers the top surface, creating a

tactile and subtle pattern. The pattern is inspired by traditional

Swedish marquetry design.
